This piece was inspired by the superbloom that occurs at North Table Mountain Ecological Reserve. The square stones are colorful yellow/orange/purple Spiny Oyster Shell. The center stone is a STUNNING slice of high-grade Sugilite. They were cut by a small lapidary artist in their home studio in Oregon. This piece of art was entirely handforaged and I made it into this necklace with poppy flower and butterfly details - all handcrafted including sawing, soldering, stamping, stone setting, polishing, etc.
